A newspaper in the hands of a publisher needs to have an income stream.

This is usually established by selling Ads. The layout of YORGOO Press defines a few spots for ads. Additional ads can be loaded into predefined widgetized frames accessible through the Theme/widget functions.

The Economic Model of the Site is based on a certain number of criteria and in the beginning on assumptions, such as number of visitors, number of subscribers, number of comments and discussions, quality of contributors, the position of the framework on search engines, the keywords targeted and the value of such keywords on Adsense for example and more.

From the example on Nutrinsider you can see that the first goal set for the publication is to harvest roughly $1000 per month from advertisers. According to the business plan, Nutrinsider will reach this Goal within 3 months. Check it out HERE

Running Cost (out of pocket)

Foresee some budget for contributors: in our case: daily Cartoons under Copyright and so on.

When planning your YORGOO Press set up consider the economic viability of your project in function of targeted keywords and their popularity, competition and cost of advertising in that niche based on the assessments of Advertising Opportunities, Competition and competitors’ content and markup.

More to come.
